Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking a full-time Paraprofessional to support students with disabilities on school buses. The role offers a competitive hourly rate and benefits package including health, dental, vision insurance and an IRA with company matching.

In this position you will help students board and exit buses safely, assist with seating and mobility, monitor behavior, and communicate with drivers and school staff to ensure a safe, supportive transportation experience.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills required.
• Self-motivated and patient with problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to connect with children and their parents.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with disabilities boarding and exiting the bus safely.
• Ensure students are seated and secured during transit.
• Support mobility needs, including with wheelchairs and mobility aids:
• Monitor behavior and maintain a safe environment on the bus.
• Communicate with bus driver and school staff about issues.
• Attend to needs of individual students, including personal care if necessary.
