Job summary

Greater Texas | Aggieland Credit Union in Austin, TX is hiring Branch Associates I–III to deliver premier member service in-branch, drive-thru, and over the phone. You will guide members on financial products using a needs-based approach and process routine transactions with accuracy.

The role offers a clear career path with opportunities to advance, plus a comprehensive training program and community involvement. AHS diploma/ GED and 1+ year of customer-facing experience are required.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma/GED.
  • 1+ year in a customer-facing role.
  • Branch Associate levels I–III require increasingly advanced responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide top-tier member service in-branch, via drive-thru, and over the phone.
  • Open new accounts including savings, checking, debit cards, and select loan products.
  • Process routine transactions including payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
  • Handle routine member inquiries and account maintenance with sound judgment.
  • Participate in volunteer events and contribute to community outreach.

The Basics of a Branch Associate:
  • Weekly schedules will be set between the hours of Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 5:30pm.
  • Rotating Saturdays from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm at our Mopac Branch located at 12319 N Mopac Expressway, Austin, TX 78758 .

The Branch Associate roles provide a clear path for career growth while delivering exceptional financial service to our members. Whether you’re starting as a Branch Associate I, advancing to Branch Associate II, or stepping into leadership as a Branch Associate III, you’ll be at the heart of creating a top-tier member experience, handling financial transactions, and guiding members toward the best products and services to support their financial well-being.

Branch Associate I – The Foundation
  • Provide top-tiermember service in-branch, via drive-thru, and over the phone.
  • Learn and engage members on financial products using a needs-basedapproach.
  • Open new accountsincluding savings, checking, debit cards, and select loan products.
  • Process routine transactionsincluding payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
  • Problem-solvebasic member inquiries and account maintenance.
  • Complete assigned training on schedule and continue progressing toward the career path.
  • Participate in volunteer eventsthrough our Greater Good program.
Branch Associate II – Expanding Your Impact
  • Perform all BA I duties, plus:
  • Open businessaccounts and specialty deposit products (CDs, IRAs, HSAs).
  • Assist members in completing secured and unsecured loan applications.
  • Handle moderately complexmember issues using sound judgment.
  • Assist in trainingnew team members.
  • Participate in business development eventsto expand Credit Union reach.
Branch Associate III – Leading the Way
  • Perform all BA II duties, plus:
  • Serve as a leaderin the branch and assist in operations when management is unavailable.
  • Act as a subject matter expertin all areas of branch operations.
  • Handle complexmember issues and elevate when needed.
  • Mentorand train new team members, conduct interviews, and assist in hiring.
  • Participate in business development and community outreachefforts.
Must Haves as a Branch Associate:
  • Branch Associate I:1+ year in a customer-facing role.
  • Branch Associate II:1+ year in a retail branch role at a credit union or bank.
  • Branch Associate III:3+ yearsin a retail branch role at a credit union or bank.
  • Skills inBuilding Relationships, Verbal Communication, Attention to Detail, Cash Handling, Tech Literacy.
  • HS Diploma/GED.
Nice to Haves as a Branch Associate:
  • Experience handling cash transactions, financial products and cross-selling
