Job summary

Greater Texas | Aggieland Credit Union seeks a Branch Associate to deliver exceptional member service in-branch, via drive-thru, and by phone. You will handle transactions, open accounts, and guide members to suitable products, progressing from Branch Associate I to II and III as you grow.

The role emphasizes relationship-building, cash handling, and strong communication while offering comprehensive training and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year in a customer-facing role; varies by Branch Associate level.
  • Knowledge of cash handling and basic financial products is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide top-tier member service in-branch, via drive-thru, and over the phone.
  • Learn and engage members on financial products using a needs-based approach.
  • Open new accounts including savings, checking, debit cards, and select loan products.
  • Process routine transactions including payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
  • Problem-solve basic member inquiries and account maintenance.
  • Complete assigned training on schedule and progress along the career path.
  • Participate in volunteer events through the Greater Good program.

The Basics of a Branch Associate:

  • Weekly schedules will be set between the hours of Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 5:30pm.
  • Rotating Saturdays from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm at our Kyle Branch located at 5433 Kyle Center Dr, Kyle, TX 78640.

Whether you’re starting as aBranch Associate I, advancing toBranch Associate II, or stepping into leadership as aBranch Associate III, you’ll be at the heart of creating a top-tier member experience, handling financial transactions, and guiding members toward the best products and services to support their financial well-being.

Branch Associate I – The Foundation

  • Providetop-tiermember service in-branch, via drive-thru, and over the phone.
  • Learn and engage members on financial products using aneeds-basedapproach.
  • Opennew accountsincluding savings, checking, debit cards, and select loan products.
  • Processroutine transactionsincluding payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
  • Problem-solvebasic member inquiries and account maintenance.
  • Complete assigned training on schedule andcontinue progressing toward the career path.
  • Participate involunteer eventsthrough ourGreater Goodprogram.

Branch Associate II – Expanding Your Impact

  • Perform all BA I duties, plus:
  • Openbusinessaccounts and specialty deposit products (CDs, IRAs, HSAs).
  • Assist members in completingsecured and unsecured loan applications.
  • Handlemoderately complexmember issues using sound judgment.
  • Assist intrainingnew team members.
  • Participate inbusiness development eventsto expand Credit Union reach.

Branch Associate III – Leading the Way

  • Perform all BA II duties, plus:
  • Serve as aleaderin the branch and assist in operations when management is unavailable.
  • Act as asubject matter expertin all areas of branch operations.
  • Handlecomplexmember issues and escalate when needed.
  • Mentorand train new team members, conduct interviews, and assist in hiring.
  • Participate inbusiness development and community outreachefforts.

Must Haves as a Branch Associate:

  • Branch Associate I:1+ year in a customer-facing role.
  • Branch Associate II:1+ year in a retail branch role at a credit union or bank.
  • Branch Associate III:3+ yearsin a retail branch role at a credit union or bank.
  • Skills inBuilding Relationships, Verbal Communication, Attention to Detail, Cash Handling, Tech Literacy.
  • HS Diploma/GED.

Nice to Haves as a Branch Associate:

  • Experience handling cash transactions, financial products and cross-selling
