Sea Mar Community Health Centers in Seattle is hiring a full-time Health Information Management Clerk at Cannon House. The role manages the flow of medical records in an electronic environment, including scanning, indexing and releasing records while upholding privacy laws.

The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), has a high school diploma or GED, and is proficient with Microsoft Office; training will emphasize PCC workflow and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office encouraged.
• Strong organizational and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage, sort and distribute incoming resident and clinical documents via multiple channels.
• Scan documents to PCC within 1 day of receipt.
• Print, fax or export records for providers or external entities per policy and HIPAA.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of patient health records in PCC.
• Communicate disclosure status with external requestors.
• File records alphabetically or by color code and ensure proper location.
• Assist nursing and floor staff in locating records and test results.
• Other duties as assigned.
