Sea Mar Community Health Centers seeks a Health Information Management Clerk in Seattle for a full-time position. You will manage incoming clinical documents, scan into Allscripts Input Manager, and index patient records with accuracy while ensuring HIPAA compliance and thorough disclosures tracking.

A strong focus on organization and timely processing is essential. Responsibilities include handling referrals, responding to external requests, and maintaining a neat work area.

Competenze

• Must have good keyboard skills and data entry accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based programs.
• Ability to communicate clearly and organize workload effectively.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
• Understanding of privacy laws and confidentiality in health records.

Mansioni

• Manage, sort and distribute incoming clinical documents via fax, mail, courier or electronic transmission.
• Convert documents to picture format and distribute accordingly.
• Scan documents into Allscripts Input Manager within 1 day of receipt.
• Index scanned documents into patient health records accurately.
• Print, fax or export records for external requests following HIPAA.
• Maintain documentation of health record disclosures and referrals.
