Lovelace Medical Group in Albuquerque, New Mexico, seeks a self-motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our bariatrics team. You will manage medical weight care, perform pre- and post-operative follow-ups, and may assist in the operating room with a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will have NM licensure, DEA eligibility, and strong communication and teamwork skills; prior weight-management experience is preferred.

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative advanced practice provider to join our bariatric surgery team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive medical weight management, conduct pre and post‑operative bariatric surgical follow‑up, and have the opportunity to assist in the operating room. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.

Candidate Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program
• Current licensure in the state of New Mexico
• Must be able to obtain a DEA registration and New Mexico board of pharmacy prescriptive authority by the time of employment
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills are required
• Experience in medical weight management is strongly preferred
