Job summary

The Barback at InterContinental Hotels & Resorts in Atlanta supports the bartending and Food & Beverage team by keeping the bar fully stocked, clean, and organized to deliver exceptional guest service. This role works closely with bartenders and supervisors to maintain smooth bar operations while upholding hotel standards.

The position pays $10.00 per hour plus tips and requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in bar, restaurant, hotel or hospitality settings is preferred.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Able to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Knowledge of basic bar operations is preferred.
• Must meet all legal requirements for working with alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders with daily bar setup, service, and closing procedures.
• Maintain stock of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice and bar supplies.
• Replenish products to prevent interruptions during service.
• Keep bar area, storage areas and equipment clean and organized.
• Wash, polish and restock glassware as needed.
• Prepare garnishes, juices and other bar items.
• Remove empty bottles, glassware and trash from the bar area.
• Assist with receiving, storing and rotating beverage products.
• Support bartenders during high-volume periods for timely service.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to the bartender or supervisor.
• Follow food safety, sanitation and hotel procedures.
