About Us:

Join our dynamic team at the Marriott Colorado Springs! We're seeking a highly motivated Banquet Captain to lead and inspire our banquet team while ensuring the seamless execution of all banquet events. If you have experience coordinating high-volume catering and banquet functions, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are passionate about providing exceptional service, we’d love to have you on our team.

As a Banquet Captain, you’ll play a key role in creating memorable event experiences for our guests by overseeing every detail of banquet operations and supporting the success of our team.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Coordinating all aspects of banquet events based on Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Leading the banquet team to ensure timely and seamless event setups, including draping tables, arranging silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, and organizing table centerpieces.
• Supervising service during events, including serving food, ensuring proper table service, and promptly addressing guest requests or concerns.
• Breaking down events, including clearing tables, storing linens and equipment, and ensuring event spaces are clean and organized.
• Inspecting the setup of banquet rooms to ensure they align with BEO specifications and guest expectations.
• Assisting with AM/PM break stations, preparing snacks, beverages, and ensuring all setups are fully stocked.
• Monitoring assigned tables to ensure guest satisfaction, quality service, and any additional needs are met.
• Conducting final quality checks on food and beverage before serving guests.
• Professionally interacting with staff and guests to ensure smooth communication and collaboration across departments.
• Addressing and resolving any guest or team concerns with professionalism and urgency.
• Supervising and motivating team members to maintain a high standard of service and hospitality.
• Maintaining safety standards by proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards, such as broken equipment or unsafe areas.
• Upholding Pyramid Global Hospitality and Marriott brand standards, including maintaining a polished appearance and wearing proper uniforms with name tags.
• Providing ongoing training and feedback to banquet team members to support their growth and development.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, alcohol awareness, and other applicable certifications.
• Approaching all encounters with guests and associates in a warm, friendly, and service-oriented manner.
• Performing other duties as required to ensure the success of banquet operations.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven banquet experience with the ability to lead and coordinate events effectively.
• 2 years of F&B experience.
• 6 months of leadership experience
• Be able to lift a min of 25 lbs.
• Knowledge on how to use computers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and teamwork.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in hospitality is a plus.
• Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with state regulations).
• Must be 18 years old to meet alcohol service requirements.
