Job summary

The Sullivan University System is seeking a full-time Baking and Pastry faculty member at our Main Campus in Louisville. The faculty-chef instructor will implement curriculum, demonstrate culinary techniques, supervise kitchen labs, and evaluate student performance.

They report to their respective Dean with potential dotted-line reporting to a Department/Program Director. Hours are typically 7 am to 3 pm, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
• Must possess excellent leadership, customer service, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently while meeting required deadlines.
• Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Instruction and Assessment of Student Learning in face-to-face, online, and hybrid environments.
• Engages students using collaborative, experiential, and problem-based learning techniques.
• Delivers course curriculum via the University’s learning management system and conducts program assessments.
• Participates in scholarship and professional development activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
