Job summary

Sullivan University is seeking a full-time Baking and Pastry faculty member at the Louisville campus. The ideal candidate will apply formal baking and pastry training in a classroom and lab setting, supervise kitchen labs, and evaluate student performance.

Strong communication and leadership skills are essential to mentoring students toward successful completion of their programs. Hours are typically 7 am-3 pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred; associate/bachelor’s degree with industry experience considered.
• Experience in baking and pastry education; classroom and lab instruction experience preferred.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver face-to-face, online, and hybrid instruction while maintaining student engagement.
• Assess and document student learning outcomes and progress in a timely manner.
• Develop and implement curriculum for baking and pastry courses.
• Supervise kitchen labs and demonstrate culinary techniques to students.
• Support student retention and provide office hours for student assistance.
