When you join our team as an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll take on key store management responsibilities including supervising daily store activities, ensuring overall store performance, managing schedules, developing operational plans, and identifying training opportunities to develop and grow the team.
Position Details
- Type: Full-Time
- Hours: 38 hours/week
- Starting Wage: $25.50/hour
- Wage Increase: Year 2 - $26.50/hour
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing action plans to improve results
- Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations
- Identify training opportunities for team development
- Model company values and promote teamwork
- Monitor community environment and suggest adjustments
- Provide product feedback and make recommendations
- Participate in hiring processes
- Communicate team updates and milestones
- Ensure inventory, product handling, and cash policies are followed
- Resolve customer concerns in absence of direct leader
- Identify hazards and maintain store safety and cleanliness
- Assist with stock levels and merchandising
- Ensure product quality and signage accuracy
- Support payroll, inventory, and training goals
- Supervise daily team operations
- Ensure team provides excellent customer service
- Uphold company policies and confidentiality
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
- Stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and operate store equipment
- Sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and walk regularly
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Provide excellent customer service and develop team rapport
- Interpret policies and manage performance
- Understand budgeting and expense management
- Operate cash register and store equipment safely
- Excellent communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
- State requirements for handling alcohol (if applicable)
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 3 years retail experience
- Management experience preferred
