As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for supervising daily store activities, ensuring store performance, managing schedules, developing operational plans, and identifying training opportunities to grow the team.
Position Details
- Type: Full-Time
- Hours: 38 hours/week
- Starting Wage: $25.00/hour
- Wage Increase: Year 2 - $26.00/hour
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing operational improvement plans.
- Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members.
- Identify training opportunities for staff development.
- Promote company values and teamwork.
- Monitor community environment and suggest strategic adjustments.
- Provide product feedback and participate in hiring processes.
- Ensure adherence to inventory, product handling, and cash policies.
- Resolve customer concerns in absence of the manager.
- Maintain store safety, cleanliness, and signage standards.
- Assist in stock management and merchandising.
- Support payroll, inventory, and training objectives.
- Supervise daily team operations and escalate issues when needed.
- Ensure high levels of customer service and compliance with policies.
Physical & Job Requirements
- Ability to stock and handle products weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk regularly.
- Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with retail operations and management preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; 3+ years retail experience preferred.
