When you join our team as an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll take on key store management responsibilities including supervising daily store activities, ensuring overall store performance, managing schedules, developing operational plans, and identifying training opportunities for team development.

Position Details

• Type: Full-Time
• Hours: 38 hours/week
• Starting Wage: $25.50/hour
• Wage Increase (Year 2): $26.50/hour

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve store results.
• Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members.
• Identify and promote training and development opportunities.
• Model company values and foster teamwork.
• Monitor community environment and recommend adjustments.
• Provide product feedback and participate in hiring processes.
• Ensure adherence to inventory, product handling, and cash policies.
• Resolve operational customer concerns in the absence of the store leader.
• Maintain safety standards, store cleanliness, and proper signage.
• Assist with inventory management, merchandising, and product quality.
• Support payroll, loss prevention, and training initiatives.
• Supervise daily team operations and escalate issues as needed.
• Ensure excellent customer service and compliance with company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Stocking merchandise, lifting up to 45 pounds, and moving about the store.
• Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret policies, set goals, and evaluate performance.
• Experience with budgeting and operating equipment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; 3+ years retail experience; management experience preferred.
