When you join our team as an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll take on key store management responsibilities including supervising daily store activities, ensuring overall store performance, managing schedules, and developing operational plans while identifying training opportunities to grow the team.
Position Details
- Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 38 hours/week
- Starting Wage: $25.50/hour
- Wage Increase: Year 2 - $26.50/hour
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing action plans to improve results
- Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations
- Identify training and development opportunities
- Model company values and foster teamwork
- Monitor competitive environment and suggest adjustments
- Provide product feedback and participate in hiring processes
- Ensure adherence to inventory, product handling, and cash policies
- Resolve operational customer concerns in the absence of the direct leader
- Maintain safety standards and store cleanliness
- Assist with stock levels, merchandising, and product quality
- Support in payroll, inventory, and training
- Supervise daily team operations and escalate issues as needed
- Ensure high customer service standards
- Comply with policies and protect confidentiality
Physical Demands
- Stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and perform store duties
- Sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and walk regularly
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Customer service and leadership skills
- Ability to interpret policies and manage performance
- Experience with store operations and management principles
- Excellent communication skills
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least 3 years retail experience, management preferred
