When you join our team as an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll take on key store management responsibilities including supervising daily store activities, ensuring overall store performance, managing schedules, and developing operational plans while identifying training opportunities to develop the team.

Position Details
  • Type: Full-Time
  • Hours: 38 hours/week
  • Starting Wage: $26.00/hour
  • Wage Increase: Year 2 - $27.00/hour
Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and implementing action plans to improve results
  • Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations
  • Identify training opportunities for team development
  • Model company values and foster teamwork
  • Monitor the community environment and suggest adjustments
  • Provide product feedback and participate in hiring
  • Ensure adherence to inventory, product handling, and cash policies
  • Resolve customer concerns in the absence of the direct leader
  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and proper signage
  • Assist with stock levels, merchandising, and product quality
  • Support payroll, loss prevention, and training efforts
  • Supervise daily team operations and escalate issues when necessary
  • Ensure customer service excellence and policy compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
  • Stocking, lifting up to 45 pounds, and store maintenance activities
Qualifications
  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Strong customer service and leadership skills
  • Ability to interpret policies and manage performance
  • Experience with cash registers and equipment operation
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Legal requirements for handling alcohol (if applicable)
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • At least 3 years retail experience, management preferred
