About Us:

Monmouth Cards is a rapidly growing retail chain specializing in sports cards, Pokémon, and trading card games. We are opening a new location near Wrigleyville and seek an Assistant Store Manager to lead the team.

Role Overview:

You will support the Store Manager in daily operations, helping to create a fun, organized, and customer-focused store environment. Responsibilities include staffing, inventory management, and ensuring a welcoming experience for collectors.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily store operations, including opening/closing
• Train and lead retail associates
• Buy and price collections from walk-in customers
• Maintain stocked shelves and current displays
• Answer customer questions and provide hobby advice
• Support store events, product releases, and promotions
• Step in as acting manager when needed

Qualifications:

• 1+ year retail or customer service experience
• Interest in or knowledge of sports cards, Pokémon, or TCGs (preferred)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Weekend availability
• Positive attitude and team mindset
