When you join our team as an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll take on key store management responsibilities including supervising daily store activities, ensuring overall store performance, managing schedules, and developing operational plans while identifying training opportunities to develop the team.
Position Details
- Type: Full-Time
- Hours: 38 hours/week
- Starting Wage: $26.00/hr
- Wage Increase: Year 2 - $27.00/hr
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing action plans to improve results
- Communicate job responsibilities and expectations to team members
- Identify training opportunities for team development
- Model and communicate company values to foster teamwork
- Monitor the community environment and advise on competitive adjustments
- Provide feedback on products and make recommendations
- Participate in hiring processes
- Maintain store standards and customer service
- Ensure inventory and cash policies are followed
- Address operational customer concerns in the absence of leadership
- Identify hazards and maintain store safety and cleanliness
- Assist with stock levels and merchandising
- Support payroll, inventory, and training goals
- Supervise daily team operations and escalate issues as needed
- Uphold company policies and confidentiality
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
- Stocking and handling products up to 45 pounds
- Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, and walk

Qualifications
- Must be 18 or older
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Customer service skills
- Leadership and communication skills
- Understanding of company policies
- Ability to manage performance and goals
- Experience with budgeting and personnel costs
- Operate cash registers and store equipment safely
- Meet state requirements for handling alcohol (if applicable)
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least 3 years retail experience
- Management experience preferred
