Job summary

Cinemark USA, Inc. is hiring an Assistant Manager to help operate theatres, ensure policy adherence, and support all departments. You will train staff, assist in administrative tasks, and work with the General Manager to maintain high service standards.

Role involves cross-training, safety responsibilities, and occasional reporting duties. The position requires 18+ years, a high school diploma, and completion of Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Complete Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program courses.
  • Complete basic food handling training and any required local certifications.
  • Avail flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Regular attendance is expected from all management staff.
  • Energetic, friendly attitude and excellent guest service.
  • Accurate cash handling and basic math skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all ages.
  • Able to work in a team and also lead others.
  • Able to train and coach team members.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in overall theatre operations and ensure policies are followed.
  • Cross-train across departments to support operations.
  • Provide inspirational training to employees and supervise staff.
  • Assist General Manager with reports and administrative tasks.
  • Monitor safety, security, and facility conditions and report repairs.
  • Enforce dress code and uphold customer service standards.
  • Resolve employee relations issues in cooperation with the GM.
  • Adhere to Cinemark guidelines and ensure consistent execution.

They ensure policies and procedures are being followed and operational standards are achieved. They are cross trained in all departments to support where needed, and to provide inspirational training to all Employees. The Assistant Manager can become a Senior Assistant Manager followed by Theatre Manager or General Manager after finishing the Management Accreditation Program and working for a minimum of six months.Responsibilities:The essential duties and responsibilities of an Assistant Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:Follows the direction of the General ManagerSupports General Manager’s decisions in communication with the staffResponsible for working in all departments and all theatre job functionsTrains and coaches Team Members in their specific job functionsAssists in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the General ManagerObserves and participates in the inspection of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, Cinemark property, roof and exterior signage, and equipment conditionReports the need for building, property, and equipment repairs to General ManagerEnsures that theatre Team Members follow the dress codeInteracts with Guests for improved service in the theatre and ensures that Team Members are providing superior Customer serviceLearns and follows the policies and procedures as established in Cinemark’s Guidelines. Enforces these with all Team Members fairly and consistentlyReports all Employee relations issues to the General Manager (In the absence of the GM, management should report Employee relations issues to www.convercent.com)All management members must follow the Employee Relations Reporting ProtocolAll management members are held at a high work ethic standard and code of conductConsistently identifies and sanitizes Employee and Gust high-contactProperly utilizes Personal Protective Equipment while completing position-specific tasksAdapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasksProperly addresses any safety or security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.)Performs other work-related duties as assignedRequirements:Must be at least 18 years of ageHigh School or G.E.D. graduate preferredCompletion of three basic courses (Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, and MAP Core) within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation ProgramCompletes basic food handling training and obtains any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where requiredManagement members who work with alcohol are required to complete a Safe Alcohol Service training programAvailability to work flexible hours which include evenings, weekends, and holidaysRequires regular and consistent attendanceHas an energetic and friendly attitude during each shiftProvides excellent Guest serviceAccurate cash handling and basic math skillsInterpersonal skills include the ability to communicate (verbal and written) with all ages, genders, and personalities.
