Job summary

The Humane Society of Missouri is seeking an Adoption Counselor to help dogs, cats, rabbits and other small pets find loving homes. You will interact with the public daily to connect pets and people through the adoption process, and provide compassionate animal care including feeding, cleaning, and supervising visits.

Qualifications

• Animal handling experience and customer service skills are required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; 3+ months of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Feeding, watering, walking, kennel sanitation and general care of animals.
• Determine if animals are ready to go home for adoption.
• Interact with the public daily to connect pets and people through the adoption process.
