Job summary

Maple Ridge - 617f is seeking a caring and energetic Full-Time Activities Aide to create engaging and meaningful experiences for residents. You will plan, prepare, and assist with recreational and social activities that support physical, emotional, cognitive, and social well-being.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with older adults, maintains a positive attitude, and is passionate about making a difference in residents' lives.

Qualifications

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient, compassionate, creative, and dependable.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Assist with planning, organizing, and leading daily activities and special events.
Encourage resident participation in group activities and individual programs.
Provide opportunities for socialization, recreation, creativity, and cognitive stimulation.
Assist residents with activities based on their interests, abilities, and needs.
Help decorate and prepare activity areas for holidays, celebrations, and special events.
Escort or assist residents to and from activities as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming activity environment.
Document resident participation and provide feedback to the Activities Director.
Work collaboratively with nursing, dietary, and other departments to support resident care and quality of life.
Treat all residents with dignity, respect, patience, and compassion.
