POSITION TITLE

Full-Time Accounting & Business Instructor

APPOINTMENT

Appointed by the Chancellor of the College upon recommendation of the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY

This is a 9-month, full-time position. Instructors may be assigned classes at any of the four River Parishes Community College campuses (Gonzales, Reserve, Plaquemine, and St. Charles), as determined by student need and institutional demand. Teaching needs may include face-to-face/online and/or evening classes. Full-time faculty are expected to actively serve on campus committees, participate in campus activities, and participate in student advising and recruitment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in accounting OR master’s degree (in any discipline) and 18 graduate semester hours in accounting OR Certified Public Accountant with a master’s degree (in any discipline).
• Official transcripts must be submitted.
• Preference given to applicants who can also be credentialed to teach other BUSN and/or CPTR courses.
• Satisfactory background check.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.
• Proficiencies in classroom technologies and Canvas LMS.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse student populations.
