Job summary

The State of Georgia seeks an Instructor for ABE/ASE to teach math, reading, English grammar, social studies, and science for students pursuing high school equivalency. The role is a 40-hour, full-time benefitted position reporting to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for High School Equivalency.

Schedule varies with program needs and may include nights and occasional Saturdays, primarily at Alpharetta North-Fulton campus with occasional Lawrenceville campus duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Master’s degree or above preferred.
• Two years teaching experience in classroom settings (in-person or virtual).
• Exceptional customer service, multi-tasking, critical thinking, and written/spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students and meet local/state/federal benchmarks (70%).
• Complete training and professional development by deadlines (5%).
• Maintain student files, program reports, and payroll forms (10%).
• Follow attendance policies and respond to division communications promptly.
