• Help maintain general cleanliness and sanitation of the facility.
• Assist with summer shifts based on conference groups; perform snow shoveling and salting as needed.
• Other duties assigned by supervisor.

• Scheduled shift 6:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. Includes every other weekend.
• Sweep and mop the university’s Convocation Center kitchen and service area as well as the Eagles Nest kitchen and dining areas.
• Clean exhaust hoods in both areas on a quarterly rotation.
• Remove trash and recycling from facility.
• Clean and stock restrooms.
• Wax and buff floors on an annual basis.
• Along with the other team members, responsible for the general cleanliness and sanitation of the facility.
• Schedule varies in the summer based on conference groups.
• Shovel snow and salt around entrance during inclement weather.
• Any other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Detail oriented, reliable, as well as a self-starter and able to work with little or no supervision.
• Applicant must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Ashland University will not sponsor or take over sponsorship for an employment visa.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous custodial and floor care experience.

Physical Demands

• Heavy repetitive lifting.
