Job summary

The position is full-time with a first shift on Monday through Thursday and a pay rate of $17.65 per hour. Benefits eligibility begins after meeting company criteria.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must pass a drug screening at hire and randomly thereafter, including for marijuana.
• Must not have felonies per MCL 338.1060.
• Must not have misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, or similar.
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk 8–12 hours, including stairs.
• Must see clearly at least 20 feet (glasses or contacts OK).
• Must hear conversations in loud environments (in person or via radio).
• Must fluently read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be professional with excellent customer service.
• Must complete trainings on time and follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Guard posts in lobbies or reception areas.
• Conduct hourly interior and exterior foot patrols to ensure doors and entries are secured.
• Monitor surroundings on closed-circuit television.
• Check employee and vendor identifications.
• Respond to security incidents and report hazards and incidents.
• Operate required equipment as deployed (e.g., x-ray or metal detectors).
• Deter unauthorized entry and maintain site security guidelines.
• Document daily activities and incident reports.
