Job summary

DK Security, Inc. is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Michigan. Friday to Sunday shift (2nd shift, 1500–2300) with a rate of $17/hour. You will protect client properties, greet and assist visitors, perform patrols and access control, and respond to emergencies as needed.

No prior experience required; veterans encouraged to apply. Candidates must meet age, education, and certification requirements and pass a drug screen. This role is not armed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Armed security tests require 21+ with Michigan CPL or LEOSA card.
• Pass a drug screen and comply with federal marijuana laws.
• No felonies; no misdemeanors related to dishonesty or weapons.
• Able to sit/stand/walk 8–12 hours; lift 50–70 lbs; CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
• Fluent in reading, writing, speaking English; professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and professionalism on site.
• Observe and report suspicious activity and incidents.
• Maintain security presence in lobbies, reception areas, and control centers.
• Conduct foot/vehicle patrols as required.
• Control access and verify IDs to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Ensure a safe environment and report safety concerns.
• Respond to emergencies; administer CPR/First Aid/AED as needed.
• Liaise with client staff and site supervisor; update on communications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
