Job summary

Parkside Preschool, a private, not-for-profit NYS-ED approved school serving children aged three to five with special needs, is hiring a FT Teacher Aide 1:1. You will support the classroom teacher and work 1:1 with students throughout the day.

Starting salary is $17.65–$19.42 per hour. The role requires patience, flexibility, and the ability to respond to stressful situations; prior preschool or special needs experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with preschool children or children with special needs preferred.
• Positive attitude and willingness to adapt to varied classroom assignments.
• Flexibility with respect to assignment, including one-to-one work.
• Able to respond appropriately to stressful or emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the classroom teacher while assisting students, frequently on a 1:1 basis, throughout the school day.
