Federal Staffing Solutions Inc. in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Workforce Strategy Consultant to join our Washington, D.C. office.

You will blend workforce analytics, labor economics, and AI-enabled analytics to deliver actionable insights for clients, shaping workforce outcomes with governance and data products. The role emphasizes translating business problems into analytics-driven solutions, leading engagements, and delivering explainable, impact-focused outputs for HR and business

Formación

  • 8+ years of relevant consulting experience in workforce strategy, HR analytics, labor economics, organizational psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong statistical and machine learning skills: regression, causal inference, time series, clustering, and predictive modeling.
  • Proficiency in modern data tooling and languages (Python, R, SQL) and experience with visualization tools (Tableau).
  • Hands-on experience extracting value from large and varied datasets and translating outputs into business actions.
  • Business development, lead generation and qualification, sales process management, client relationship management, proposals and SOW development, and new business acquisition/closing.

Responsabilidades

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Workforce Strategy Consultant tojoin our Washington, D.C. office. This role combines deep workforce analyticsand human capital strategy with practical, responsible use of AI to deliverfaster, more powerful, and more actionable insights. You will help clientspredict, shape, and optimize workforce outcomes by blending traditional laboreconomics, I/O psychology, and statistical rigor with modern AI-assistedanalytics, model governance, and operationalized data products.

We will count on you to:
  • Translate business problems intoanalytics-driven workforce solutions that combine qualitative research,advanced statistics, and AI-enabled methods (including machine learningand large language models) to uncover workforce dynamics and strategicopportunities.
  • Design, build, and operationalizeanalytic models and data products (e.g., forecasting models, skillstaxonomies, retention risk scoring, internal mobility recommendations)that leverage structured data, unstructured text (job descriptions,performance feedback), and third-party labor market signals.
  • Lead client engagements as theanalytics and AI subject-matter lead: define analytic approaches, presentfindings, translate insights into prioritized workforce investments, andco-create implementation roadmaps with client stakeholders.
  • Drive pay equity, strategicworkforce planning, and external labor market analyses using bothclassical econometrics and AI-enhanced approaches; quantify businessimpact and ROI for recommended interventions.
  • Create and deliver clear,compelling deliverables—interactive dashboards, visualizations,client-ready slide decks, and data stories—using best practices ininterpretability and design so technical results are actionable for HR andbusiness leaders.
  • Ensure responsible AI use:implement model validation, bias detection and mitigation, explainabilitytechniques, privacy-preserving practices, and documentation consistentwith client and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to Mercer'sintellectual capital: create reusable AI-enabled frameworks, clientaccelerators, proposals, and thought leadership that reflect emergingpractice in AI-driven workforce strategy.

  • Clients adopt model-drivenworkforce decisions (e.g., hiring prioritization, targeted retentionprograms, reskilling investments) that measurably improve engagement,productivity, or cost-efficiency.

Must Have

8+ years of relevant consulting experience in workforce strategy, HR analytics,labor economics, organizational psychology, or a closely related field.
