Peoplr seeks a Senior Accounting Manager (Community Association) in Saint Augustine, FL. You will oversee accounting for homeowners’ and condo associations, lead the month-end close, and partner with boards, auditors, and executives on audits and regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

As a Senior Accounting Manager (Community Association), youwill…

• Overseeall accounting functions for homeowners’ and condominium associations, ensuringaccurate AP/AR processing, compliant financial reporting, and adherence tostate statutes
• Lead themonth ‑ endclose process, prepare and review financial statements, and maintain stronginternal controls to safeguard association funds
• Serve asa key financial partner to cross-functional partners, board members, auditors,and executives, supporting annual audits and regulatory requirements
• Provideleadership to accounting staff and help drive process improvements and systemenhancements
• Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, lifeinsurance, and 401(k) with match

Required Qualifications

• 5-7years of accounting experience, including 3+ years of working in communityassociation management, property management, or real estate
• Experiencewith accrual-based accounting
• Advancedproficiency with Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables, SUM/IF statements,V&H LOOKUPs)
• Proficiencyin community association account software (e.g., TOPS, CINC, Vantaca, AppFolio,or similar)
• Experienceleading, supervising, or managing accounting professionals (direct orindirect); ability to manage leadership responsibilities with hands‑on work
• Demonstratedexperience communicating financial information clearly to non-financialstakeholders
• Vendormanagement experience, including resolving vendor inquiries and discrepanciestimely and professionally
• Proficiencypreparing, reviewing, and finalizing monthly financial statements as well asexperience proactively providing information around discrepancies/variances
• Demonstratedknowledge of and experience complying with Florida Statutes 718, 720, andindustry best practices
• A highlevel of confidentiality, discretion, integrity, and professionalism
• Excellentprioritization and time management skills
• Bachelor’sdegree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience

• Peopleleadership experience strongly preferred
• Priorexperience managing multiple entities, companies, and/or accountssimultaneously strongly preferred
