Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking a qualified Press Operator to operate a Mark Andy 16"-20" flexographic press in Kansas City, MO. You will set up, adjust and run production ensuring quality.

Requirements include High School diploma or GED, 1–3 years flexo printing experience, ability to read safety rules and manuals, basic math, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Overtime and shift flexibility are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of flexographic printing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Must pass a mechanical aptitude test or demonstrate aptitude.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Willing to work overtime and any shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• May need to use pallets jacks to move products.

GENERAL FUNCTION

The operation of a Flexographic printingpress. The operator will possess a combination of knowledge, skill, andabilities to carry out work activities related to the operation of theflexographic printing press.

SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

• Set up, adjust, maintain and operate a Mark Andy 16"- 20" flexographic press
• Installs Anilox rollers,plates. inks and dies into proper stations, making necessaryadjustments to maintain quality ofproduction.
• Notifies Supervision of needed repairs and replacementparts.
• Ensures that assigned equipment is properly maintained andin safe operating condition.
• Understands all the documents related to the printingprocess and adheres to specificationrequirements.

Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum- High School Diploma or GED & gave basic computer skills.
• Best candidates would have AT LEAST 1-3 years FLEXO PRINTING related experience with ability to write and read simple instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions & procedure manuals.
• Must be able to meet and/or pass the minimum requirement on a mechanical test or have demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience.
• Should be able to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Must be able to maintain good attendance and flexible and willing to work overtime, as needed.
• Must be flexible in working any shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• During the shift Press Operators will be bending and twisting while moving product from workstation to pallet.
• Press Operators may need to use manual or electric pallets jacks to move skids of products. This will require pushing and pulling.
