Job summary

West Chester plant is seeking an experienced Press Operator to operate a Mark Andy 16"-20" flexographic press. You will set up, adjust, and maintain the press, installing rollers, plates, inks and dies to sustain quality.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED with basic computer skills and 1–3 years in flexo printing. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work flexible shifts is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with basic computer skills.
• 1–3 years of flexo printing experience preferred, able to read simple instructions.
• Ability to read safety rules and maintenance documents.
• Mechanical aptitude demonstrated by tests or past work experience.
• Capable of basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Willing to work overtime and flexible shifts.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and move products with pallet jacks.

GENERAL FUNCTION - The operation of a Flexographic printingpress. The operator will possess a combination of knowledge, skill, andabilities to carry out work activities related to the operation of theflexographic printing press.

SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

Set up, adjust, maintain and operate a Mark Andy 16"- 20" flexographic press

Installs Anilox rollers,plates. inks and dies into proper stations, making necessary adjustmentsto maintain quality ofproduction

Notifies Supervision of needed repairs and replacementparts.

Ensures that assigned equipment is properly maintained andin safe operating condition.

Understands all the documents related to the printingprocess and adheres to specification requirements.

Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum- High School Diploma or GED & gave basic computer skills.
  
• Bestcandidates would have AT LEAST 1-3 years *FLEXO PRINTING* relatedexperience with ability to write and read simple instructions.
  
• Abilityto read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating andmaintenance instructions & procedure manuals.
  
• Mustbe able to meet and/or pass the minimum requirement on a mechanical testor have demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience.
  
• Shouldbe able to perform basic math including addition, subtraction,multiplication and division.
  
• Mustbe able to maintain good attendance and flexible and willing to workovertime, as needed.
  
• Mustbe flexible in working any shift.
  
• Mustbe able to lift to 50 pounds
  
• Duringthe shift Press Operators will be bending and twisting while moving theproduct from workstation to pallet
  
• PressOperators may need to use manual or electric pallets jacks to move skidsof products.This will requirepushing and pulling
