Job description

Chapel Hill, United States | Posted on 10/14/2026

What makes ColoWrap® unique:
Technology
  • Our flagship device delivers material clinical impacts that improve the lives and outcomes of patients, physicians, and endoscopy personnel.
  • The company's long-standing commitment to own the space around external compression for endoscopy—with more than 15 issued patents and more pending—creates an ideal environment for innovation in one of the most common and critical cancer-prevention procedures worldwide.
Commercial Traction
  • We've achieved product-market fit—an especially difficult milestone in healthcare—and have access to a growing base of enthusiastic end-users.
  • We're different—ColoWrap's drumbeat reflects that of high-growth technology companies, which gives us a meaningful strategic advantage in our industry.
Team
  • Because we do things differently, ColoWrap hires for talent and potential over industry experience.
  • We work together and run toward challenges. Every day, we're learning something new with the goal of changing how endoscopic procedures are delivered.
  • We operate with autonomy—everyone controls their own destiny while working toward the same mission: to make external compression technology a standard part of one of the most vital medical procedures on Earth.
Organizational Structure
  • ColoWrap functions like a true, mission-driven technology start-up. We recognize the challenges of operating this way in a regulated, inefficient sector—yet we continually overcome those barriers with authenticity, ingenuity, and commitment to our cause.
  • Everyone has an opportunity to make an impact—internal ideas are encouraged, not brushed off.
The Role
  • We're looking for a detail-oriented Operations Associate to support the day-to-day flow of our business—from the moment an order comes in to the moment it ships out the door. This role is central to keeping our order fulfillment, shipping, and inventory processes running smoothly and accurately.
  • You'll work closely with our operations and sales teams to make sure customers get what they need, when they need it.
  • This is a great fit for someone who is organized, likes process and precision, and wants hands-on ownership in a small, fast-moving company.
Responsibilities
Order Processing
  • Receive, review, and enter customer orders accurately and promptly during business hours via phone, web, and email channels.
  • Verify order details (products, quantities, pricing, shipping addresses) against customer POs or requests.
  • Communicate with customers and internal teams to resolve order discrepancies or questions.
  • Track order status through the entire lifecycle: from entry, to fulfillment, through final delivery.
  • Respond to customer questions regarding previously processed shipping status or issues.
Customer Shipment Processing
  • Promptly pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, freight, etc.) to schedule both pickups and deliveries and select appropriate service levels.
  • Occasionally drop off outgoing packages at UPS or FedEx locations when needed.
  • Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and required documentation.
  • Ensure shipments comply with any applicable medical device handling/labeling requirements.
  • Monitor shipments for on-time delivery and troubleshoot delays or issues.
Internal Shipping Processing
  • Pick, pack, and prepare team members' requests for shipment.
  • Orders include requests for collateral assets, product, swag, "trackit packets", and uniforms.
  • Clarify with internal team members to resolve order discrepancies or questions.
Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts across warehouse locations and in an orderly manner.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Receive and inspect incoming inventory shipments from vendors/manufacturers.
  • Monitor stock levels and flag reorder needs to management.
  • Keep inventory records organized in our system (ERP/inventory software).
  • Support organization and upkeep of warehouse space (bins, pallet racking, labeling).
  • Will eventually learn to safely operate a pallet stacker to move and store inventory.
General Operations Support
  • "Trackit" packets
  • Receive and process procedural data from customers.
  • Steps include data entry, QA, and validation.
  • Organize hand-off to data analysis and clarify with internal account owners to resolve order discrepancies or questions.
  • Maintain clean, accurate records and documentation for audit/compliance purposes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve order, shipping, or inventory workflows.
  • Assist with other non-Operations-specific tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • 1–3+ years of experience in order processing, warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management (medical device or healthcare industry experience a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy—mistakes in this role have real downstream impact.
  • Comfortable using computers/software for order entry and inventory tracking (experience with an ERP or inventory management system a plus).
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Ability to lift/move boxes up to 50 lbs and be on your feet often in a warehouse environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
  • Ability to prioritize and stay organized when handling multiple orders/tasks at once.
  • This is an in-office position, Monday through Friday.
Why Join ColoWrap
  • Be part of a small, growing medical device company making a real impact on patient care.
  • Hands-on role with visibility into the full operations of the business.
  • Competitive compensation
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits; employee premiums 100% employer paid
  • Unlimited PTO policy
  • Career growth opportunities within a fast-growing, innovative Company
