The Scion Group LLC is hiring a Website Design & Development professional to lead WordPress theme/plugin work, UX, SEO and analytics across multiple sites from our Chicago office.

Expect hands-on development in HTML/CSS/JS, PHP, and front-end engineering, with a focus on accessibility (ADA/WCAG) and conversion optimization. Join a collaborative team shaping online experiences for acquisitions and campaigns.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of Web development, UX design and digital marketing strategy.
• Strong proficiency in WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and front-end development.
• Experience with SEO strategy, website analytics, and conversion optimization.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics and A/B testing tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and implement strategic improvements.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Leverage A/B testing and heat-mapping tools to drive data-driven improvements.
• Ensure ADA/WCAG accessibility compliance.
• Implement SEO best practices and metadata management; track web analytics and conversions.
• Develop performance reports for leadership with insights and opportunities.
• Support Marketing and Sales campaigns; manage integrations with CRM and analytics tools.
• Manage relationships with hosting providers, agencies and vendors; oversee DNS and licensing.

Your Responsibilities

Website Design & development

• Build and manage custom WordPress themes, plugins and PHP-based solutions, while optimizing multisite performance.
• Lead the design, development and maintenance of the company's websites, ensuring optimal functionality, user experience (UX) and accessibility.
• Lead the redesign and launch of websites for new acquisitions, ensuring a seamless brand integration.
• Troubleshoot cross-platform issues, perform root cause analysis and integrate third-party APIs to enhance functionality.
• Oversee website governance, ensuring consistency, accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

User Experience & Conversion Optimization

• Conduct UX audits and implement best practices to enhance engagement and lead conversion.
• Work closely with design and development teams to create user-friendly interfaces and mobile-responsive experiences.
• Leverage A/B testing and heat mapping tools to drive data-driven website improvements.
• Ensure compliance with ADA and WCAG accessibility standards.

SEO & Analytics

• Implement SEO best practices, including content optimization, metadata management and structured data implementation.
• Track, analyze, and report on website traffic, engagement and conversion rates, providing strategic recommendations for improvement.
• Develop and deliver regular performance reports for leadership, highlighting insights and opportunities.

Digital Marketing & Campaign Support

• Support Marketing and Sales team initiatives for campaigns, promos and events
• Manage integrations with third-party marketing tools, including CRM platforms, analytics tools and social media APIs.

Vendor & Technology Management

• Manage relationships with web hosting providers, development agencies and software vendors.
• Oversee DNS management and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance website functionality and user experience.

What We Require

Operational Details

Job location is based in-office at Scion's Chicago corporate headquarters.

Working hours consist of standard daytime business hours.
