Scion Staffing, Inc. has engaged in a search for a Full Stack Developer / Software Engineer for an established exhibit design/event production organization.

This 3+ month contract offers a hybrid arrangement in Hillsboro, OR or San Jose / Morgan Hill, CA with about two days onsite per month. You will develop across frontend interfaces, backend services, databases, and integrations using Vue.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python (FastAPI), and SQL, collaborating with colleagues and leveraging

Formación

• 3+ years of professional full-stack development experience.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code.
• Proficiency in Vue.js 3, TypeScript, Python, and RESTful APIs.
• Strong SQL skills and relational database design (PostgreSQL/SQL Server).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Full Stack Developer / Software Engineer for an established organization in exhibit design / event production. This 3+ month contract opportunity offers a preferred hybrid arrangement in either Hillsboro, OR or San Jose / Morgan Hill, CA with approximately two days onsite / month.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Join a collaborative team developing and enhancing custom applications that support client services, fulfillment, and asset management. In this hands-on role, you will work across frontend interfaces, backend services, databases, and integrations to deliver reliable solutions and improve existing systems. You will partner with technical and business colleagues while using AI-assisted development tools to support efficient, thoughtful software delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with Business Systems Analysts, Product Owners, and developers to translate business needs into functional enhancements and clear technical solutions.
• Build and improve application interfaces using Vue.js and JavaScript/TypeScript, along with backend services using Python and FastAPI or comparable frameworks.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and third-party integrations that support dependable information exchange across business systems.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, enhance relational database structures, and improve application performance and data reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across interfaces, backend services, databases, and integrations while maintaining business-critical production applications.
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, automated testing, CI/CD, and modernization initiatives, using Git and AI-assisted development tools to support quality and efficient delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 3+ years of professional full-stack software development experience , including maintaining production applications, developing new features, improving integrations, and contributing to system modernization.
• Experience or strong familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code; demonstrated ability to independently develop, test, debug, and maintain business-critical applications across frontend, backend, database, and integration layers; and a self-directed, analytical, adaptable, and collaborative approach with strong communication and prioritization skills.
• Hands-on Vue.js development and strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills; experience with Vue 3, Composition API, Pinia, and Vue Router is preferred.
• Experience developing Python backend applications using FastAPI or a comparable framework; familiarity with Flask or Django is a plus.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational database design using PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or comparable databases, plus RESTful API development and third-party integrations.
• Experience with Git, collaborative development, automated testing, CI/CD, and cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure; Docker and containerization experience is a plus.
• Additional preferred experience includes logistics, fulfillment, inventory, warehouse, or asset management software; distributed development teams; SAP Business One integrations, Service Layer, SDK, DI Server, or DI API; ASP.NET / VB; SharePoint integrations and workflows; PowerShell; Microsoft Access; and Crystal Reports.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• This contract opportunity offers an hourly rate range of $55.00 - 65.00/hr W2 (DOE), plus medical, dental, vision and voluntary life insurance, an employee assistance plan (EAP), and commuter and transit benefits for those who are working on average 30 or more hours per week.
