Job summary

Kforce is seeking a Web Developer in Fort Lauderdale, FL to design, code, and maintain websites, covering layout, functionality, and user experience.

You will write clean code using HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and JavaScript, work with designers and stakeholders, and ensure sites perform well across devices.

The role requires 3+ years of web development, strong problem-solving, and experience with React, REST APIs, MySQL or PostgreSQL, and Git/Jira.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Technology, Engineering, Communications or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of web development experience is required.
• Must have strong Project Management skills with ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines; must be proactive with a high level of organization.
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and JavaScript is required.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and design patterns is required.
• Comfort with front-end frameworks React is required.
• Knowledge of database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL) is required.
• Knowledge of version control systems Git and Jira are required.
• Strong communication to convey information clearly to the audience.

Responsibilities

• Front-end development: Designing and coding visual elements with HTML/CSS/JS for responsiveness and UI.
• Back-end collaboration: Building server-side logic using Python/Java/PHP to handle data processing.
• UX design: Contributing to intuitive navigation and site layouts.
• Code review and testing: Writing clean, documented code and testing across browsers/devices.
• Collaboration with designers and stakeholders: Translating mockups into functional websites and gathering requirements.
• Performance optimization: Improving loading speed and overall performance.
• Security considerations: Implementing best practices to protect against vulnerabilities.
