Full Stack SW Developer (AWS)

Full Stack SW Developer (AWS) job at Elite Technical. Reston, VA.

Elite Technical is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer with hands‑on AWS Cloud experience. We are specifically seeking candidates with strong experience in the following: Java v17 or 21, Spring Boot 6, React, Postgre DB, and AWS EKS/Kubernetes/Helm Charts.

The selected candidate will perform complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer software ranging from operating system architecture integration and software design to selection of computer systems, language, and/or equipment. Designs, develops/codes, tests, and documents critical and complex application programs for computer systems. Works with appropriate stakeholders to define system scope and objectives and establish baselines. Establishes project standards and processes. Breaks down software requirements and creates highly complex systems.

The selected candidate will also participate in our client's AWS Transformational efforts leveraging EKS, Kubernetes.

This position is a hybrid opportunity (onsite for PI Planning 1x per QTR + random project meetings in Reston VA) and is Contract to FTE opportunity! Please note: 1-2 Onsite/Face to Face interviews are required as part of the interviewing process with our client.

Required Skills

• BS Degree with 6 years of Software Development experience (if no degree, seeking 10 years of total SW Development experience)
• AWS Developer related certification is HIGHLY PREFERRED/NOT REQUIRED
• AWS EKS, Kubernetes, Docker CI/CD, Helm Chart knowledge is required.
• Must have experience with Java v17 or 21, Spring Boot v6 Framework, MicroServices, and PostGre (Any Angular exp is a big plus)
• Must have Java development experience with ability to develop unit / integration test cases using Junit /TestNg.
• Must have ability to understand and work with code developed by other developers.
• Must have extensive experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Must have strong experience in continuous integration within DevOps environment.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (in English).
• Good to have experience working with API Management Tools.
• Good to have Experience working with GIT/BitBucket.
