Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Chinook Program, supporting an Intelligence Community customer. You’ll design, develop, and deliver modern software solutions for critical national security missions while collaborating with top engineers and mission experts in Gaithersburg, MD and other locations.

Responsibilities include building secure, containerized applications with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, developing RESTful APIs with React/Node.js/Flask/Spring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 4–8 years experience, or Master’s with 2–6 years.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with ability to pass a Polygraph.
• Strong knowledge of modern software design patterns and coding standards.
• Experience architecting and delivering complex software systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions for GEOINT mission.
• Participate in agile sprints, stand-ups, planning, and retrospectives.
• Build and maintain secure, containerized apps with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Develop RESTful APIs and user interfaces with React/Node.js/Flask/Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with users and product managers to refine requirements.
• Support DevSecOps pipelines and ensure security/compliance.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.
• Tackle prioritized tasks from the product owner.
