Job summary

SpaceX is hiring a Software Engineer (Application Software) to join a team building mission-critical applications for launch vehicle production, Starlink, and manufacturing software for high-throughput facilities.

The role emphasizes ownership, problem solving, and collaboration, with opportunities to influence architecture, design and code across teams. You’ll work on diverse platforms including data streaming, public-facing systems, and internal tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• 1+ years of experience in full stack development.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX.
• Create new applications that improve how SpaceX operates.
• Build prototypes to prove design concepts and quantify constraints.
• Own all aspects of software engineering and product development.
• Deep dive into users’ problems to find efficient solutions.
• Contribute to architecture, design, and code reviews.
