Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Software Developer II (Full Stack) in Shalimar, FL. You will design, develop, test, and maintain web-based business applications and services, collaborating with stakeholders, project managers, QA, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to deliver secure, scalable software.

The role covers full lifecycle from requirements through production support, with on-call expectations and a hybrid work model across Jacobs offices and remote locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IS/SE or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with C# and the .NET platform.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and web services.
• Experience designing, querying, and supporting MySQL databases.
• Experience with Git or similar source control.
• Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and best practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web-based business applications and services.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and web services.
• Create and maintain MySQL database objects (tables, views, procedures, functions).
• Analyze and optimize application and database performance.
• Participate in architecture discussions and design reviews.
• Troubleshoot defects and production issues; resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Gather requirements from business users and translate to technical solutions.
• Develop unit tests and support QA activities.
• Participate in code reviews and promote best practices.
• Maintain technical documentation and assist with deployments.
