Job summary

Jacobs in Shalimar, FL is seeking a Software Developer II (Full Stack) to design, develop, test, and maintain web-based business applications. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, QA, DBAs, and infrastructure staff to deliver secure, scalable software solutions.

In this role you will work across the full development lifecycle, contribute to code reviews, write unit tests, and support deployments in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to five years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience developing applications using C# and the Microsoft .NET platform.
  • Experience with front-end web technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs and web services.
  • Experience designing, querying, and supporting MySQL databases.
  • Experience with source control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications using C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies.
  • Develop and maintain Form.io forms, workflows, and integrations to support business processes.
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Develop responsive user interfaces that provide a consistent experience across browsers and devices.
  • Create and maintain database objects including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and queries within MySQL environments.
  • Analyze and optimize application and database performance.
  • Participate in application architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, production issues, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop unit tests and support quality assurance activities.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices.
  • Maintain technical documentation for applications, integrations, and development processes.
  • Support application deployments and release activities across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Assist with application security, authentication, authorization, and data protection requirements.
  • Participate in on-call support or after-hours deployment activities as required.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, project managers, QA, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.

Jacobs is seeking a Software Developer II (Full Stack) in Shalimar, FL. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web-based business applications and services. As a member of the application development team, this position works closely with business stakeholders, project managers, quality assurance personnel, database administrators, and infrastructure staff to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
The Software Developer II participates in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, application design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. This position is expected to work independently on moderately complex assignments while collaborating with senior developers and technical leads on larger initiatives.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications using C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies.
  • Develop and maintain Form.io forms, workflows, and integrations to support business processes.

The base salary range for this position is $60,000.00 to $70,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
