Job summary

Global Payments Inc. seeks a Full Software Engineer II to join its scaleable software engineering team. You will develop with Angular and Java, implement RESTful services, and collaborate across product, development and QA to deliver features.

The role emphasizes modern CI/CD practices, automation, and on-time monthly releases. You will thrive in a fast-moving, globally distributed environment, applying Agile methodologies to deliver robust, maintainable software while supporting customers

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Software development experience in a professional setting.
• 5+ years of hands-on front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• 5+ years of experience with Angular, Bootstrap, etc.
• 5+ years building web services with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA.
• Strong Agile/Scrum experience and collaborative work style.
• Solid Git, GitHub and DevOps tooling experience.
• SQL proficiency with DB2/Oracle/SQL Server preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD, TDD/BDD, DevOps, automation.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiar with IDEs like IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, VS Code.

Responsibilities

• Code, test and analyze application software and support Product Operating Model with product teams.
• Use responsive web design to create apps that conform to multiple screens/devices.
• Collaborate with Development and QA teammates to implement new requirements and improve usability.
• Adhere to the Product Development life cycle, coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in dev and prod environments.
• Drive production releases monthly during off-hours for minimal consumer impact.
• Automate processes and write maintainable, testable code for operational excellence.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in Software development methodologies and best practices
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in front-end web development languages (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)
• 5+ years experience in advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks (AngularJS, Bootstrap, etc.)
• 5+yearsofexperienceinbuildingwebservicesinRESTusingJava,SpringBootframework, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, Microservices architecture
• Strong experience working collaboratively using Agile/Scrum methodology is essential.
• Solid experience with Git, GitHub and DevOps tools (Jenkins,SonarQube, Nexusrepository, Maven)
• Fluent in complex SQL and experienced in DB2, Oracle or SQL server preferred.
• Experiencewithmodernagilesoftwaredeliverypracticessuchasscrum,continuousintegrationanddelivery(CI/CD),TDD,andBDD,DevOps,andautomation.
• Experienceworking with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.
• Version control tools like IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse for Java and Visual Studio Code for JavaScript.
• Excellentcommunication,organizationalandinterpersonalskillsrequired.
• Strongproblem-solvingskills, analytical thinking, collaboration across time zones.

• Bachelor'sDegreeor equivalent experience.
• New skills like AI/ML and new implementation like Redis Cache.
