Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Portal team, driving features and maintaining scalable web applications across devices. This role emphasizes collaboration across Product, Development, QA, and cross-functional teams.

The candidate will adhere to SDLC and security standards while delivering reliable software, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to CI/CD and automation initiatives. Strong communication across time zones is valued.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering/science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in software development with front-end and modern frameworks.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices in Java/Spring.
• Proficient with Agile/SAFe, Scrum, CI/CD, TDD/BDD, and DevOps.

This position is hybrid 3 days per week in the following office locations: Cincinnati, OH, Atlanta, GA and Denver, CO (2 days per week)

What You’ll Own

• Drive innovation and operational excellence through the delivery of new features, services, and product enhancements.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and responsive web applications across multiple devices and platforms.
• Collaborate with Product, Development, QA, and cross-functional teams to implement requirements and improve product usability.
• Adhere to SDLC processes, coding standards, security requirements, and software engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex application issues across development, testing, and production environments.
• Leverage CI/CD, automation, and AI-assisted development practices to improve software quality, efficiency, and delivery.
• Provide technical leadership through solution design, implementation coordination, release support, and consistent delivery of commitments.

What You’ll Bring

• A bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
• 5+ years of experience in software development, front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and modern frameworks such as Angular, React, or Ionic.
• 5+ years of experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA.
• Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments with modern software delivery practices including Scrum, CI/CD, TDD, BDD, DevOps, and automation.
• Strong experience with Git, GitHub, GitHub Copilot, AI agent-driven development, and DevOps tools including Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, and Maven.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies including AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Proficiency in complex SQL and relational databases such as Snowflake, DB2, or Microsoft SQL Server, along with development tools like IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, and Visual Studio Code.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across distributed teams and time zones.

It’s a bonus if you have

• Experience with data streaming (i.e. Kafka), data messaging and event driven systems

The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
