U.S. Bank is seeking a software engineer to analyze, design, test, develop and maintain best-in-class software experiences.

You will be responsible for full-stack ownership, producing production-ready code while ensuring performance, scalability and security aligned with bank standards. Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 2–3 years of relevant experience, and strong knowledge of Cobol, DB2, JCL, and VSAM, plus experience with Agile and DevOps practices.

• Basic requirement: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong technical knowledge in Cobol, DB2, JCL and VSAM.
• Familiar with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
• Ability to design, develop, test, operate and maintain software with production-grade quality.
• Ability to communicate processes and results with cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, operate and maintain software products.
• Takes full stack ownership, writing production-ready code.
• Ensure scalable, reliable, high-performance designs across the system.
• Analyze failures, propose design changes and drive operational improvements.
• Prioritize tasks and sizes for incremental delivery; identify blockers early.
• Review code for engineering best practices and development procedures.
• Ensure compliance and security best practices in all product development.
