Job summary

Panasonic Avionics Corporation seeks a curious Software Engineer to design, develop, and support software that configures, tests, validates, and troubleshoots complex networks of embedded systems. You may code, analyze logs, diagnose Linux issues, automate workflows, and explore hardware interactions.

The role emphasizes learning new technologies, prototyping on Raspberry Pi, and working across multiple tech domains while supporting aviation networking and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Experience with one or more programming languages; C/C++ preferred.
• Familiarity with Linux development and basic OS concepts.
• Git and modern source-control practices (GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews).
• Background in networking basics and embedded/hardware interaction.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications and automation tools for engineering, manufacturing, and field operations.
• Troubleshoot software, Linux, networking, and hardware interaction issues with cross‑functional teams.
• Work with embedded devices, networked equipment, and hardware peripherals.
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to solve challenging technical problems.
• Create clear technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and deployment procedures.
• Continuously learn new technologies and apply them to real-world problems.
