Job summary

OpenAI's Codex Cyber team seeks software engineers who can own complex, end-to-end product and platform problems. You will work across user-facing surfaces, developer workflows, backend services, security analysis pipelines, and cloud infrastructure to build scalable features for AI-native security.

You should be a strong generalist with solid full-stack skills, capable of turning messy requirements into reliable systems while maintaining a security-minded approach.

Qualifications

• Software engineer with strong full-stack capabilities across product, backend, and frontend.
• Ability to own ambiguous product and platform problems end-to-end.
• Security experience is helpful but not required; curiosity is valued.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end product features for Codex Cyber, from UI to APIs and backend services.
• Own 0-to-1 projects across product pods, platform controls, and deployment workflows.
• Translate research and model capabilities into intuitive, scalable workflows.
• Design observable systems for long-running analyses across large codebases.
