Job summary

OpenAI is seeking software engineers to join Codex Cyber in Seattle. You will build end-to-end features across product, backend, and developer tooling, with a focus on AI-native security and scalable workflows.

You may work on features that improve Codex Security usability, scale cloud-based security analysis, and implement platform controls for safer agentic coding. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, security research, infrastructure, and customer-facing teams as Codex

Qualifications

• Proficient in building end-to-end features across product surfaces, APIs, and backend services.
• Experience with security tooling or security-focused product development is a plus.
• Strong design sense for scalable and observable systems.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end product features for Codex Security, from interfaces to APIs, backend services, and tooling.
• Own ambiguous 0-to-1 projects across product pods, platform security controls, and deployment workflows.
• Translate security research and model capabilities into intuitive workflows that find, validate, and remediate vulnerabilities with high signal.
• Design scalable, observable systems for long-running analyses across large codebases and enterprise environments.
• Partner with product, security research, infrastructure, and customer-facing teams to iterate quickly from real-world feedback.
• Help shape the technical direction and architecture of Codex Cyber as the team and product surface area grow.
