Job summary

Kobalt Labs is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer in New York to build the core product experiences our customers use daily. You will own features end-to-end, shaping the technical approach and delivering production-ready solutions for risk and compliance workflows.

You will develop frontend and backend systems, ensuring fast, intuitive interfaces and scalable architecture, while collaborating with customers and success teams to drive product impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience building modern frontend applications and backend systems.
• Excellent product and UX judgment for data-dense apps.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, APIs, data modeling, and relational databases.
• Ability to take a product problem from concept to production.
• High attention to detail and quality and performance expectations.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship new product features end-to-end across frontend and backend.
• Own major features from design through launch with engineering and Customer Success.
• Create intuitive user experiences for complex risk and compliance workflows.
• Develop AI-powered features to automate manual tasks.
• Improve performance, reliability, and architecture as the product scales.
• Collaborate with customers to turn feedback into better products.
