Job summary

Kobalt Labs is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer in New York to own core product experiences end-to-end, from problem framing to production. You will build frontend and backend features for complex risk and compliance workflows and ship intuitive, AI-powered capabilities.

You'll collaborate with engineers and Customer Success, shape design, and influence performance and architecture as we scale. This role emphasizes product sense, strong UX judgment, and delivering high-quality software in

Qualifications

• 3+ years building production web apps.
• Experience with modern frontend and backend systems.
• Excellent product and UX judgment.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, APIs, data modeling, and relational databases.
• Ability to take a product problem from concept through production.
• High attention to detail and a high bar for quality and usability.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship new product features end-to-end across frontend and backend.
• Own major features from technical design through launch with engineers and Customer Success.
• Create intuitive user experiences for complex risk and compliance workflows.
• Develop AI-powered features that automate manual tasks for customers.
• Improve performance, reliability, and architecture as the app scales.
• Engage with customers to turn feedback into better products.
