Job summary

Riverside Research Institute seeks a software engineer to develop, integrate, and deploy full-stack applications. You will work within SWAT to design, build, test, and maintain software using modern tools and agile practices.

Applicants must hold a BS in CS/CE/SE and have 3+ years of full-stack experience, with proficiency in Java, Python, C#/C++, JavaScript, REST APIs, Swagger, Linux, GitLab/Jenkins, Docker, OCI, and Kubernetes. Top Secret clearance readiness is required.

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience developing full-stack applications.
3+ years in at least one major language (Java, Python, C#, C++, JavaScript).
Experience designing REST APIs and documenting with Swagger/OpenAPI.
Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins) and container tech (Docker, OCI).
Experience using Kubernetes and VM deployment environments.
Experience with agile software development.
Strong written/verbal communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Design, build, test, and deploy software applications.
Define API specifications for performance, scalability, and availability.
Develop utilities and frameworks to support development processes.
Document test cases and collaborate with testers and partners to resolve issues.
Configure CI/CD pipelines and manage build artifacts and scripts.
Continuously improve deployment and security practices.
Research state-of-the-art software solutions and apply to projects.
Perform other duties related to software development.
