Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer/Engineer in the DC area to join a small, multi-disciplinary team supporting national security missions. You will develop robust software across the stack, collaborate with users and engineers, and ensure features meet customer needs with emphasis on performance and security.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in software development, proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Angular, and experience with DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience developing custom software.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Ability to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests.
  • Proficient with code versioning tools (Git).

Responsibilities

  • Develop enabling software solutions across multiple languages to meet user requirements.
  • Develop, test, and maintain robust software for the technology stack.
  • Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements and specs.
  • Design and implement scalable, flexible solutions for mission-critical apps.
  • Work with DevSecOps to deploy features and maintain stability.
  • Write robust test suites and participate in code reviews.

We are seeking an engineer who embraces technology and thrives on the art of the possible. The ideal candidate will be part of a small multi-disciplinary software team and will have the unique opportunity to interact directly with users and other technologists to ensure solutions, development and tools meet the needs of the customer.Responsibilities:Develop enabling software solutions using a variety of languages that address real world user requirements; writes and debugs custom code and creates user documentation.Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, high-quality software for our technology stack.Collaborate with the program manager, engineers, and other stakeholders to define software requirements and specifications.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and demo new features.Design and implement efficient, flexible solutions that can scale for mission critical applications.Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.Communicate with multidisciplinary teams and articulate technical concepts and ideas effectively.Work closely with the DevSecOps team to deploy new features and maintain system stability.Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.Write robust test suites to ensure high-quality code.Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.Minimum Qualifications:U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field with 5+ years of dDeveloping custom software solutions, performing data extraction, manipulation, and visualization with proficiency in Javascript, Java, and/or Python.Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with front-end frameworks such as React or AngularUnderstanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.Ability to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests.Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.Capable of working effectively with a geographically distributed ops & development teamCommunicates effectively with customers and team in written and oral forumsWillingness to work onsite 50% or as needs dictatePreferred Qualifications:Strong Linux skills and familiarity with cloud architectures, AWS, C2S, Openstack, etcFamiliarity with Docker and KubernetesAn adaptable and solution centric mindset that embraces technology enablersFamiliarity with common industry software tools, concepts, and DevSecOpsExperience working with open-source resources in a government computing environment#cjpost#LI-RDPay Transparency: To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidate’s experience, expertise, and alignment with the role.
