Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Front-end Software Development Engineer to join our growing team. You will lead and contribute to software development efforts for mission-critical systems, emphasizing scalable APIs and microservices.

Design and maintain RESTful services using Java and Spring Boot within a distributed architecture. You will collaborate in a cross-functional Agile team, leveraging CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.

Qualifications

• U.S. Person status required (citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong backend focus.
• Experience developing software using Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Strong experience building and maintaining REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, OpenShift).
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Gradle, and Helm.
• Familiarity with Linux-based environments and scripting (Bash).
• Experience integrating with third-party tools such as Keycloak, Kibana, Fluent Bit, or similar.
• Must be willing and able to work onsite in Herndon, VA.

Responsibilities

The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $102,000.00 - $136,000.00 - $149,600.00 annually.
